GOLBAGH PALACE

Built in the early 1900's this fascinating palace drew its inspiration freely from a variety of sources, ranging from the pleasure palaces for Deeg to the Art Nouveau salons of Europe. Set in Mughals Garden, it is a riot of lotus arches, ornate balconies, canopies and delicate latticework screens.

Take a closes look at some of the latticed windows and you will see the curious influence of the Art Nouveau style that was so fashionable at the time .Once the home of Maharaja Kishan Singh, the palace has now been converted into a hotel, after the royal family moved in to Moti Mahal Palace next door.
