Background Regional furniture, particularly that which is caved , or made-as-old , has buyers all over the country, and is also exported out. Already, a number of such units exist. Rajasthan is well- known for the quality of its wood carving and use of wood for object d'art as well as for use in furniture.
Location Traditional centres for wood carving are barmer and the Shekhawati region where popular furniture units exist. Woodcraft centres are at Ramgarh in the Shekhawati, Bassi (Chittaurgarh), Barmer, Tilonia (Ajmer), Baingu (Chittaurgarh).
