E-business will spell monumental success for some and for some it
will be question of survival. In such a global scenario the Indian
travel agent cannot be complacent. He has to be innovative in executing
personalized service that no distribution based on technology can
              substitute.

Concern over the future of the business is justified, but the trade
will have to remind itself that it should put its best foot forward
in helping the growth of tourism. After all, revenues can be enhanced
only if the entire sector grows. For achieving that objective any
segmented approach will be counterproductive and it will have to
be concerned effort among all sections as also through partnership
              with the government.
