Background

A beginning has already been made, but there is a lot of potential for developing these leisure facilities. Amusement parks provide a number of rides and entertainment opportunities particularly for a young clientele.

Theme parks can be developed on any single theme, and in rajasthan these can any number of opportunities. Water parks is an extension of an amusement park based around water bodies. Tourist resorts are complete centres especially developed for the use of visitors with a number of experiences particular to the state tied into the ambiance.

 

Location

Identified cities are Ajmer , Pushkar, Alwar, Siliserh, Bikaner, Salasr(Churu), Jaisamand (Udaipur), Jaisalmer, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu (and other parts of the Shekhawati Region), Jodhpur, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Mount Abu ,Udaipur and Nathwara. Tourist resorts could also be developed at bikener's Devi kund sagar and Gajner, and at Nagda on the Udaipur- Nathwara route.

There is untapped potential here, both for local consumption as well as in adding attraction and extending tourist stays.

The estimated cost of an amusement park is approximately Rs. 75 lakh Rs.1 crore.
